Six months of looking
These paintings belong to no series. They come out of six months spent
looking closely — at exhibitions across Paris, and in the art history
courses I followed at the École du Louvre. I used that time deliberately:
to deepen my command of oil, to test how far I could push colour, and to
pay attention to what actually holds my eye and which subjects keep
pulling me back. What is gathered here is where that looking became
painting.
